K12 Global Inc. (K12) is committed to protecting our users' privacy. The following policy has been prepared to advise you of your choices regarding the use of your personal information online. This policy describes what types of information we collect within the K12 Global Classroom and our individual School sites, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it to third-parties.
Personally Identifiable Information
In order to download classroom lessons and activities you are required to register within our application (web site). This process asks for various personally identifiable information including your, mailing and email address. This information is used to create your K12 profile, verify your identity next time you come to our site. You will receive email notices, updates and offers from K12 or our sponsorship partners only if you specifically opted-in to receive them at registration. If you choose in the future not to receive these emails, each email message includes the ability to opt-out from future correspondence.
Aggregate Web Site Data
We gather certain generic information with respect to your use of our web sites. This includes the number of unique visitors, the frequency with which they visit, and the areas on the web site that they favor. This data is used aggregate (on a collective basis), in summary form, rather than on an individual basis. This data helps us determine the extent to which our customers use certain parts of our web site, which, in turn, enables us to make it as appealing as possible. We may also provide statistical ratings about how our customers collectively use our web site to advertising sponsors, and other companies with which we do business. We do this so they, too, can understand how often people areas of the site in order for them to provide you with the best possible experience. These statistical ratings do not contain any personally identifiable information about you or any of our users.
Your information is not disclosed to any third parties other than vendors required for day-to-day operations. K12 reserves the right to cooperate with local, state and federal officials in any investigation relating to any purported illegal activity(s) and, when required by law, regulation, legal process or government requests, to disclose any personal information furnished by you or collected by K12 to law enforcement authorities or other relevant or related third parties.
