The K12 Global Vision
Dare to Dream
Imagine a world in which teachers have the resources they need at their fingertips. A world in which students engage in fun, in-class activities with learning outcomes that include social justice and fairness for all. At K12, we have stopped imagining and started building. Leading, socially responsible businesses have recognized the critical role they can play and have joined our cause. Can we afford not to dream?
In keeping with our philosophy and commitment to social change, our guiding principles are simple. They are designed to facilitate open dialogue, encourage discussion and challenge norms.
Faithful – to truth, justice and authenticity.
Open – in approach, communication and reporting.
Clear – in purpose, spirit and objectives.
Uncompromising – in vision, commitment and duty.
Skillful – in delivery, research and action.
Ethical – in conduct, dealings and practices.
Dedicated – to change, innovation and progress.
Become a Leader of Change
Professors Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner of Santa Clara University state that effective leaders create compelling visions that can guide people’s behaviour. They also help to visualize positive future outcomes and communicate them to others. Leaders listen to the dreams of others and show them how these dreams can be realized. Through inspiring visions, leaders challenge others to transcend the status quo to do something for others.1
K12 Global has been inspired and challenged by our student ambassadors to make their vision of a better world a reality. We are now calling for Leaders. Leaders in the educational community who are willing to help share this important message. Leaders in the corporate community who are excited to invest in this future. Together, we can challenge the status quo. Together, we can bring this dream to life.
